Every struggling program I see is running a textbook methodology. Phases ticked. Gates passed. Deliverables signed. And still drifting.

A methodology tells you the steps. It does not tell you when the steps are wrong for this client, this culture, this moment. That judgment is not in the manual. It sits with people who have done this enough times to know when to deviate, and are senior enough to say so out loud.

AI will happily generate a flawless project plan. It will not walk into a steering committee and argue that the standard sequence will break this particular business.

We keep hiring for methodology certification. We keep needing methodology judgment.

The future of SAP delivery is not a better framework. It is people senior enough to know when to put the framework down.
